There is a theme to my blog here, and it is simply that…insight or enlightenment…

I coined the phrase “mirror-time” In that one needs to know that person who looks back at them in the mirror.

Over the years I have given you clues like “know why you like, or don’t like something.”

I have asked you to examine why you did something a particular way.

Other things included looking for the truth outside of what you would like it to be, or your particular bias and once you find it, embrace it.  The truth truly will set you free….

The media in our country has divided this country driven by differing ideologies.  Social media is ablaze with ideas which are diametrically opposite of one another… We have devout socialist on one side and conservative capitalist on the other, and their opinions are driven by what the media and Hollywood are selling.

These folks who espouse that guns are evil, all have body guards with guns.  Folks who say that guns are a tool, turn a blind eye to the violence in this country.

Garbage in garbage out…

People who see the American way of life as “bad,” teach their children from a young age that dying while killing another people that they don’t like is glorious.  We have groups working with 3 year olds showing them how to kill someone, while extoling the virtues of it, while here we have people teaching their children to stifle their free speech; as to not offend anyone…

“There are none who are so blind, as those that will not see…”

Alcoholics refuse to believe that their drinking is a problem.

Drug addicts fail to see the connection between their use of drugs and a lifestyle that they have relegated themselves to while placing blame elsewhere.

Socialist, refuse to learn from history.  The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.

Some capitalist, don’t know when to stop.  How much money is enough?

Most politicians, lose their souls after they are elected, as power is such an aphrodisiac, that soon they rationalize that living in an ivory tower while looking down at the “little people” is there god given right.

(That is why we need term limits.)

When you start believing your own lies, or the lies of your peers…  You are lost.

The people, get it.  The people understand what the problems are, and that is why they have gravitated toward non-politicians.  Washington insiders are totally perplexed.  Like the men who flew the planes into the buildings on 911…  They truly believed what they’re doing was “right and good!” they were in fact delusional.  The man in the White House truly believes that what he is doing is “right and good.” Instead of looking in that mirror taking a selfie…  He should be looking in that mirror doing some soul searching…  He is lost.  His advisers who are all connected in some way to the liberal media, are also lost.  The voters have sent resounding messages to them and their response is to ignore those messages and find more voters in swing states who they can corrupt via scientifically targeted smear campaigns, to vote for them, or their kind.  Technology used in this way is in fact a cancer.  To corrupt the American way of life to fit an agenda that is anti-American, is by definition evil.

Once your mind is made up, you lose your objectivity…  You are of no value as a politician.  You are of no value as a voter.  As the matter of fact the opposite is true.  If you are unwilling to watch something else other than FOX or MSNBC, or CNN…  You actually harm the body that we know as the United States of America.

As the Brian Williams’s of the world are called out, you can at least know that somebody, somewhere, cares.  If groups have to make up the facts and otherwise lie to sell their agenda…  That should at least prompt you to dig into history.

We have lost our moral compass in this country, and somebody is trying to tell you what it is rather than what it should be.  In this case, history holds the key and you should look at it quickly before somebody rewrites it.  Talking with recent graduates from high school and college, one has to wonder if they have rewritten it, or simply stopped teaching it.

Back in the days of slavery it was illegal to educate them or teach them to read.  I would challenge the American people to look at their school systems today.  Is not teaching to the test, and ridiculous things like common core, not creating tomorrow’s  slaves?

Interestingly enough, it is not about the facts but more the style and impression that the viewers leave the debate from, which might influence them.

Kasich and Bush I feel were the two weakest up there, with RandPaul close third.

Rubio most probably came off best as he was most informed and I think we will see donations to him increase.  Carson was on point, soft spoken, and hopefully the media smear campaign will be put to rest.  I want to hear more about his ideas instead of what he said in the third grade.

Fiorina probably would be one of the toughest opponents against Hillary but factually I have no clue how well she would stand up.

Cruz is an animal, I think one of the smartest in the room; certainly one of the best debaters.

Again Trump was simply there…low on depth and high on platitudes… I think he has the swagger but he really needs to do his homework….If he had a little of Rubio’s facts that he could regurgitate “like Rubio does” he would be much more formidable…

The haters took to twitter tonight, as they promoted the progressive Hillary agenda…. It is almost laughable that 40 odd % of the country is behind such a corrupt individual…tens of thousands of tweets each denigrating the GOP and extolling someone who should be in prison…

Carson’s closing monologue was succinct and on message.

“During this debate we borrowed another 200 million dollars… 20 babies were killed due to abortions so many murders occurred from some sort of violence and 2 vets took their lives because they were depressed and not getting the care they disserve… “

Folks, if that does not mean something to you, than you are probably a progressive…

Of the pre-debate…the four that did not make the adult table cut…Chris Christie was the winner, and I hope that he makes it back to the adult debate…

Between the main stream media and Hollywood, Conservative values are constantly under attack.

The GOP debate last night called them out on their hypocrisy; which I would doubt many liberals even watched.

The government is “Of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

Progressives want government in every facet of your life, not theirs, just yours….

Conservative values are for limited government… Keep the country safe from all threats both domestic and foreign.   We don’t need you mucking with our McDonalds fries or Big Gulps!

When the MSM decries Hillary had a good week when she was exposed as the liar she is, you know that the Rachel Maddows of the world are just so biased, that they cannot be objective, therefore they are not journalist!

Journalism is finding the truth and telling the truth about it, whether it is against what you would like to see or happen or not.

Walter Cronkite was a Flaming Liberal, but you would not know it by his reporting of the facts. He was a journalist.

I would like to turn on my TV and watch the news without the Brian Williams of the world slanting the story to fit some White House agenda as they currently do….

Fox has the ratings that it does because they are for the most part “fair and balanced.”

I would exclude Hannity from that lineup, as he is entertainment, opinion related, with a biased version of the news.

The Winners last night were Cruz, Rubio and Chris Christie in that order (in my opinion.)

Donald Trump was just about a no show last night, as were the rest of the candidates.

For the record, I don’t believe that Trump knows what an H1B is.

Companies lobby to bring them over by the thousands to pollute the pool of workers keeping the price down that they have to pay for talent.

The talent is here…they just done want minimum wage for a job that is for skilled workers.

Any visit to a Walmart of hardware store you can find American people who are under employed because of H1B’s.

Our government is for sale to the highest bidder, and the American people don’t stand a chance as they are asleep!

Where greed is concerned, companies will find a way like outsourcing, shipping jobs overseas or taking their whole company to Mexico and beyond.

If you are in college now and looking to pick a major…pick something that requires English, knowledge of our mores, idioms and   possibly customer service centric, as “Peggy” still does not have it….

Should America get involved in stopping the wholesale murder of Christians?

Any person with any kind of morality would give the immediate knee jerk reaction of, Hell Yes!

In this day and age we don’t do anything.  We are paralyzed by politics.

If Winston Churchill had been this worried about political blowback, we all might very well be speaking German!

There is this problem that some face in management called “analysis to paralysis.”

Today with a 24 hour news cycle, we have taken that to all new levels!

We have organizations who do polls of everything.

Frank Luntz, who is an interesting guy, makes his livelihood by putting together groups of people to gauge their emotional state, at different snapshots in time of events like speeches or debates.

There are several different pollsters and they all solicit an opinion from a low percentage of actual people who will take the time to take a poll.  That in and of itself is a problem, in that it biases the results.

Polls are flawed to begin with, in that the accuracy is somewhere below 10%, depending upon the type of poll and the questions ask.

Robotic polls are the least accurate and even some of the most prestigious or respected pollsters, depending upon their particular bias, are flawed. (Aka Fox news Vs MSNBC)

Politicians today are always in re-election mode so they are in fact paralyzed.   If there is a bill on the floor and some senator does not want to cast a vote one way or the other, he simply votes present or is a no show.  Currently, Planned Parent Hood funding was on the floor and one of the presidential candidates was in fact a no show.  This was an important bill and for his party, he should have been there.  He however represents the Millennials, and a good amount of them are liberal leaning and do not distinguish the difference between the murder of a baby, and “women’s health.”

We send these folks to Washington to represent us.

Obama, when he was senator voted present 130 times, not allowing his political aspirations to get tarnished with anything.   The people of Chicago sent him there to represent them, and he voted present.  One could infer from his votes that the people of Chicago, simply don’t care about anything!

Today on the stage of the world’s Arena, we have a president who is still voting present, and leading from the rear.

Is it politically safe to stop the wholesale slaughter of Christians in the Middle East?

No, because there are some who don’t like Christians, who happen to vote and they might vote Democrat unless of course you do anything that they don’t like. Is it the right thing to do?  Hell Yes!

We watch them on the computer, and TV, and what have you, being butchered in the most heinous of ways, and there is nothing but the sounds of Crickets coming from Washington.

Today we have the Russian Dictator Putin “standing for something.”  I am not certain what he is doing and if he is truly targeting the right folks, time will tell.  The US has always taken the lead in such things and yet, we are dismantling our military.

“The purpose of our government is to Defend and protect the people of this country and this country from all threats domestic and foreign.”

This president has cut military spending and in fact allowed our military men and women to fight with antique equipment.

  • Air Force tactical aircraft: over 20 years old;
  • Navy and Marine Corps tactical aircraft: over 15 years old;
  • Army M-113 armored personnel carriers: 27 years old;
  • Bradley fighting vehicles: 17 years old;
  • CH-47 Chinook helicopters: nearly 20 years old;
  • UH-1 Huey helicopters: 35 years old;
  • Ticonderoga-class cruisers: nearly 20 years old;
  • P-3C Orion long-range aircraft: almost 25 years old;
  • B-1 Lancer bomber: over 20 years old;
  • C-5A Galaxy transport aircraft: 40 years old; and
  • KC-135 tankers: 44 years old.

Over 65% of this president’s budget goes to ….wait for it….”Entitlements” and they are really not entitlements because for it to be an entitlement, you must have done something to be entitled to it!

We are talking about food stamps, Obama phones, Obama Care, and to quote one of the people in line for her share of the free stuff, “his stash!”  These are not simply for American poor folks, these are for anyone that can cross the border in any way shape of form!

The money he is giving away is not his to give, in fact he is appropriating it from places like the military, and your great grandchildren’s future piggy bank!

Which candidate will save us from ourselves?

The outsiders are leading the pack for the republicans and the Socialist is leading the pack “basically” for the DNC.

He wants the government to pay for everything!  $20 Trillion is debt is nothing to this man.

How you ask?  They are telling the truth, the things that you were afraid to even think about, as they need to wake you up.  Even Bernie Sanders is talking trash about the Washington Elite or as one candidate calls them “The Washington Cartel.”

We need a candidate that will shake things up, and focus on what the government is supposed to be doing. 

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

  • “Establish Justice:” Appoint or elect judges who interpret, not create the law.
  • “Insure domestic Tranquility:” Unite instead of divide us by race, religion or sex or by any other means. We are Americans, and we need to bind ourselves together by that.
  • “Provide for the common defense:” Have a military that is so strong, that no one will dare to test it.

We are not doing that, and these last 7 years have proved that beyond any shadow of doubt.

Whoever inherits this mess, will indeed have to be the best of the best.  We will need to start with the basics and go forward.  This will take a concerted effort from everyone to put this country back up straight; we need to prepare for that.

At the rate this administration is pissing money away, we will most likely be $20,000,000,000.000.00 in debt by 2017.  That is if the rate does not change one way or another.

All of these candidates except one are bought and paid for by someone, or a group of someone’s.

  • That is why the Keystone pipeline has never happened.
  • That is why 20 odd percent of our Uranium was sold to Russia in a backroom deal made by Hillary.

Do you want more of the same or would you like a change?

  • Campaign reform and total transparency needs to top any agenda for this next administration.
  • Term limits need to also top any list of to-do’s as we need to get the good old boys out of Washington.
  • As one man put it, we need to dismantle the Washington Cartel.
  • You dismantle them by holding them accountable.
  • You dismantle them by transparency of their funding and you force them to create term limits for themselves.
  • They need to live by the same laws that we live by, and by the same social security, and the same health care.

In short, you remove the incentives to be corrupt.  If you go to Washington to serve, you go there to serve, not to serve yourself!

Yesterday, Mr. Trump gave a talk in New Hampshire.  During the talk he decided to simply open up the floor to questions from the crowd.

My gut feeling is that he decided that “practice fielding questions from just anyone,” might help him in future debates.  Now, that would by my reasoning however; I would not do it if I were him because he loses control of the setting.

True to form there were some nut jobs, or plants, that got the mic and asked some really far out questions.

Mr. Trump is short on substance anyway, so simply ignoring the bad questions and or placating them with “yea yea sure sure” was his strategy.

One of the loons talked about Fema camps and “visions” of bad things happening, which got no play in the press.

Another loon (first question actually) asked about the “Muslim problem” and accused President Obama of being a Muslim and not an American Born citizen.  Trump used his standard answer “were looking into a lot of things, next.”

The press has seized on this to once again attack Trump and of course his rivals are attacking him.. ”outrageous” on cries and another calls him a clown and not fit for the office!”  His opponents have nothing to lose and by saying things like “outrageous” simply gets them printed or Air Time.

These are all great sound bites but, what they are not reporting is that Mr. Trump simply placated the (nut or plant) and moved on.

Trump knows that Obama is a good guy, not a Muslim, and certainly not an alien!

No matter how much you disagree with this president, allowing such talk to go un-challenged is pretty close to saying it yourself.  If the press and other candidates have their way, they will spin this as Trump said it.

Tip:  When you run for any office, everything you say (or don’t say,) has to be, “Has to be” metered with “how will this be perceived by the voters, and how will it be used against me.”

Practice debates should be only with your staff, with no outside people anywhere near it.

In 1990 Clayton Williams was running for Governor of the state of Texas.  He made an off the cuff remark at a party for friends, that cost him the election.  He suggested that some victims of rape should “simply relax and enjoy it!”

Now this was said at a private party, drinking was involved and we don’t know the context of the statement.  He said it was part of a joke but, never the less, it cost him the election.

When you are in the public “eye” so to speak, you must control the environment and you must be rehearsed.  While Mr. Trump has defied the laws of politics thus far, this cannot last forever.

The sophomoric behavior and truculent attitude must stop, he must be armed with some substance when asked questions, and he needs to control his stump speeches.

  • When loons like those two were allowed to speak, they hurt him.
  • Mr. Trump should employ people to vet the questions, and the people, before they are handed a mic.
  • Those two loons should never have been allowed to speak on camera.
  • I stress camera, as every time he speaks there are many live television feeds; and he knows this!  Don’t play to your competition.

His candidacy will implode if he does not take control of it.

While many watched the GOP debate last night, many did not. It did in fact draw a record audience of 22.9 million which is a record, and clearly due to Trump!

Many in fact will get their news from snippets, sound bites, tweets, or comedians looking for ratings, at the expense of candidates.

This is the world that we live in. 

The first debate between the lower polling candidates, it was easy to see why the four there polled so low and to be fair, Rand Paul should have been there as well. To be absolutely fair to Mr. Paul, I admire him.  I don’t think he is presidential material but, I do think he is fighting for you and me and the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and for that my hats off to him.

Lindsey Graham who I have little respect for, actually schooled the bunch and tried to drive the message home that the world is a dangerous place; and under this administration, it has not gotten better.

I actually respect Lindsey a little bit more, after his performance last night.

The reason that we have so many GOP hopefuls is, that this president set the bar pretty low!  There was a time that I was considering running on the slogan, “I could not do any worse!”  If you like this guy as your president, my apologies and “bless your heart.”

I am certain that as a person he is probably someone I would enjoy knowing. These last 7 years have been an unmitigated disaster.

What we have in the white house is the JV team and of that, I have little doubt.

Most of the candidates simply took shots at the front runner, in order to make a name for themselves. They were desperate and floundering and it was to be expected.  This was their chance to get back onto the board and I think they all failed. Mr. Graham focused on the president and the issues of the day which is really how as a candidate you should differentiate yourself.  His comment about “more drinking in the white house,” Showed a human side of him that I liked.

At the main debate, Donald Trump was set up as the Straw Man by CNN for ratings.  Simply that, nothing more.  The questions and methods used were to tarnish the entire GOP; and of course make the front runners appear as feckless, as the current administration who think that ISIS is the JV Team. My opinion, your mileage may vary.

Hollywood elites also weighed in and that too, sniping from the cheap seats.

Just because you can remember a few lines and emote, does not make you a brilliant politician, or your opinion any more germane than that of john Q public.  It simply means that when you speak, people know of you, and because you have name recognition, you can get printed. If you played a good guy, they might think your character is that of a good guy etc. There is a responsibility that comes with that, but few acknowledge it and abuse it regularly.

Donald Trump is resonating because Americans’ don’t like where we are going, and want America to change.  Mr. Trump cannot be purchased by special interests and even though he is flawed, I like the idea that if he says he will do it, he probably will.

His largest flaw is not his truculent attitude towards “idiots,” or his sophomoric attacks on people’s looks.  It is; he is very short on substance.  His bravado and ego seem to overpower his respect for the office which he seeks.  Donald needs to come up with some humility and reverence for the office of President, and I question if he can do it.

Think about it just for a moment, what kind of person thinks that he or she can be the most powerful person in the world?!  Narcissism would certainly come into play or should be suspected.

It was obvious that Mr. Trump was not rehearsed or prepared for the onslaught of attacks from both his fellow candidates, and the moderators.  He deflected and defended, but the facts are that he was on defense for 3 hours!  I am certain that he felt like one of those Trump Piñatas the Hispanics are selling.  Those of you who don’t like him probably enjoyed that part of it but, this is more than entertainment.  We have serious issues and we need someone who is going to get serious about fixing them!

Carly appeared to be the “winner” last night but, I must tell you as much as I appreciate her moxie, she came off as a bitch last night.  She came off as petty, vindictive and uninformed, in many political areas, even though she managed to memorize some facts and figures, much like Rubio, it was too rehearsed for my take.  She tells of great times at HP but as someone who has been in IT since 1982, I know that it was because they merged with Compaq.  I also had many friends who lost their jobs to overseas.  Tough decisions to put Americans out of work are not what we need!  While she gained ground with some, she lost it with me.  It is my hope that she can earn that back, as we really need serious candidates.

Huckabee, Who I have never really been a fan of, gained some traction with me in that he gave a solid performance.  I would like to know more about him without the bloviating. Cruz was too rehearsed, and way too in your face.

Chris Christie had a good night, and I think his pitch to the American people was smart, I liked how he “became the adult” in the room and, I think that was a good moment for him.  Christie will be one to watch.

The media is having a hay-day poking at Trump, and his argument that autism and vaccines have some sort of link while standing next to a neurosurgeon “planned by CNN,” fell flat.

While science says that is debunked, they also say we are in the middle of global warming. While I am not a denier of some sort of climate change, I do think it is a little like Chicken Little.  I know that Al Gore has those Carbon Credits all printed up, waiting to sell them to companies here in the US; while we ship our coal to China! In short it is completely disingenuous and all about money!

This administration evidently thinks that the poisoned air over China, will stay over China!

If there is a shred of doubt in the vaccine science, it needs to be looked at carefully.

I personally feel that the rise of autism is due to drug use in the different countries and once you “do drugs” you screw with you DNA, thus effecting the DNA of any progeny.  That is true for both parties, not simply the mother! True fact, we like the drug culture for some reason, so we don’t report it.

Maybe we feel that people who did drugs and gave birth to kids with special needs don’t need to bear the burden of their actions, so we downplay it.  Sorry folks!  We need a nation of accountability.  If you speed and get caught you get a ticket.  If you do something wrong and there are consequences, you should pay those consequences.  If you give birth to special needs kids and you did drugs…..it’s probably on you.

Twitter was busy last night with GOP haters talking smack behind their anonymous handles, and what have you.  There were even threats lobbed at some of the candidates. If you live behind the curtain, and in your mother’s basement, I guess you feel pretty bold.  

Well my pretties, let me tell you something as a technology guy, they can find you!  They can not only find you by the unique id of the device you are using but, with technology; they can walk right up to you in a crowd of thousands.  If I can do it, so can they, and they have much more expensive toys than I.

Freedom of speech is one thing, threats are another.  Calling Trump stupid is your right, not smart, but.. Threatening someone with his resources, and a presidential candidate, really not too smart.

Speaking of really not smart, Someone not on the stage but, a vocal supporter of Trump tweeted through the entire event.

Ann Coulter, who I have watched, listened to, and find her intelligent, had a major brain fart last night.

I do not understand this tweet of hers, and I don’t think Mr. Trump will find it any too smart either.  He will have to distance himself from her, and hope that he does not get too wet from the splash.  Many on the twitter-verse were linking the two as one.

Most people that I know and call friends or even associate with, welcome diversity.   You and I can be polar opposite on everything.  As long as there is mutual respect, we are good.

I find it fascinating that the liberal media does not understand why Trump is where he is in the polls.

They think it has something to do with “thinking people,” not liking politicians, but they are not really sure.  “He is Teflon.”  they say, “He defies the laws of political gravity!….”

Trump cannot be bought by special interests, and that is what is resonating along with his, “in your face to PC speak” which has crippled this country for far too long! 

Add to this a complicit media that only reports on that which bring ratings, and only then if it fits an agenda of whoever they are supporting.

I think Americans are tired of being lied to and Trump, Carson, and probably Fiorina are Washington outsiders, who have yet to sell their sole to the devil that is the Washington DC Good old boys, what can you do for me” crowd.

Trump is most likely the only candidate that cannot be purchased by this crowd, and that is why (Washington insiders) are talking trash about him and, why he resonates with people, even if he is not the perfectly scripted, speech written by committee based on polls of different demographics, type candidate.  I find his rambling, unscripted style of speech refreshing, and if he wants to bitch about China at each speech, so be it.  He is what he is, and for that I will stand up and say Hell Yes!

If he “Trump” gets elected, how long do you think it will take to get the Keystone Pipeline started?  Do you think we will be spending more millions studying the effects on migration patters of birds or fish that are in some small creek?  The stalling will be over!  The Age of Bullshit will be over, at least political backscratching bullshit that has paralyzed this country for the last 7 years!

Twenty thousand (20,000) attended today’s speech, (not simply thousands WFAA) in Dallas, and I have no idea how many more watched it on TV but, I suspect that Wednesday, CNN will enjoy a boost to its ratings as never before, and it will be because of Trump, not the others…. (Sorry Ben and Carly) Those that choose to attack Trump at the Debate should tread carefully, he brought you that audience. 

I think Trump is right about this phenomena, I think it is a movement! 

Personally, I do not want to see another Bush or Clinton in the White house. I think it is time for the “dynasties” and Washington Elites to be dethroned, as they have time after time convinced the masses that they think that they are kings and emperors and other types of royalty who are above the law, who simply tolerate the little people.  “let them eat cake…”  Hillary still thinks she is above the law and this whole e-mail thing and the Benghazi lies are simply a right wing conspiracy!  Keep trying to sell those lies, you still have a few hard core believers…  Chris Mathews still loves you.

It is time for term-limits and hopefully we can get that enacted by getting the right person in the white house.  Whether that be Trump, or Carson, or Carly, I think Washington outsiders are a good start.

Most Americans do not want this Iranian nuke deal to happen and yet the Democrats are supporting Obama, thus pushing this through; against our wishes. 

The majority of Americans thought that Obama Care was not a good deal and yet the Democrats pushed it through anyway, in spite of the folks.

All of the promises of the plan were indeed empty promises.  You might in fact, not be able to keep your doctor. “sorry….”

Washington is a “good ol boy club” and even after a politician is booted out, they become lobbyist and still write the bills that nobody but special interests want!  The same bills that nobody reads.

Running a successful campaign takes money.  To be a successful candidate you must always be in campaign mode, which means you must always be looking for money.

  • Campaign funding laws need to change.  Transparency is key so at least you know what company or special interests, owns your candidate.  Truly I want to know where their loyalties are.  You vote for a guy that talks the talk and as soon as they get in they no longer are responsive to the voters that put them there.

Maybe you own a railroad or you have interest in a company that owns a railroad.  That railroad is currently making tons of money hauling oil from Canada to the gulf.  A pipeline which would put thousands to work, would not bode well for your bottom line so….you give money to whoever will sit on the pipeline bill, stall it or stop it, from happening!

You might even fund some tree hugging activist to bring some sort of frivolous law suit claiming that some fish might become extinct if the pipeline is allowed to continue.  Everyone knows that nothing moves fast in the government so a committee must be formed to look into it.  The committee calls for an investigation which means specialist must be hired (at taxpayer expense) and study the possible impact that a pipeline would make on the fish in question.  This process could take years just to return the study.

If progress is being made another group is hired to pursue a suit claiming that the pipeline might affect the migratory patterns of the rare and troubled species of bird.

Another committee is formed, another specialist hired and more time is bought for the controlling partners in a company that happens to have a railroad.

If it was truly about climate change someone might point out that the railroad has a much higher carbon footprint than oh say, the building a pipeline.  There is also a much greater risk of the fish being effected or those birds becoming confused by a derailment with toxic spills in god knows where.

Donald Trump is using his own money.

The question I and everyone else has to ask is “what is in it for Donald?”

Mr. Trump has said he will work for a $1 a year!

I for one like the idea of someone that is not in the pocket of the others.

Now the people in the house and the senate are still in the pocket of special interest, but Donald, not so much.

Any candidate that takes millions from someone is beholding to someone.  I am guessing that the Unions, big business and those hedge fund guys, which make billions if things happen a certain way are the big contributors to politicians.    You know, the “fat cat bankers” that Obama warned about as he was taking their money.

  • Most politicians promise relief for the middle class.
  • The middle class pay the bills.
  • The middle class is squeezed from the top and bottom, and then marginalized when it comes to benefits because those are handed out as cell phones, free internet and food stamps to those who choose not to work.

If we take in 10,000 Syrians as Obama is saying, those too will be paid for from the taxes of those who work.

The people pay for these things in taxes and in fees that are levied on their bills as some sort of “universal fee,” code for socialism.

Most people look at their phone bill or cable bill and see those “universal fees” and have no idea what they are.  That is what they are, both federal and state.

Emotions are one way to manipulate you, and that is not lost on Hillary as she cries for the camera in a recent interview.

Are you old enough to remember the Sally Struthers commercials for the orphans?  She had her 90 second spot on prime time TV crying for the orphans. The purpose of her tears were to evoke a response from people, an emotional response which would hopefully translate to opening your wallet.

It was later reported that this group was not Christian and that is simply used the word Christian to garner support from “Christians.”  It was also reported that very little money actually went to help children.

This Iranian deal is a mystery to me and to anyone that knows anything about it.

I was astonished to learn that if Israel should attack Iran, part of the contract is that the US has to defend Iran!  Hello, Israel is our friend. 

Depending upon where you get your news, this is either the greatest deal of all time or it is the absolute worst deal.

I have found that the main stream media is terribly biased towards the liberal ideology so I tend to treat anything that they report with more skepticism than say One America News Network.

Please Mr. President, go work on your golf game.  I bet Trump would allow you access to his courses, just stop doing anything else.  Deals like this we don’t need.

At this point it would be cheaper if the president took his family and simply traveled the globe on a yearlong vacation.  Let Uncle Joe see if he wants to really try out for the job, at least he is entertaining.

Trump is a flawed man and probably not in touch with us mere mortals.  I think he loves the country, it has been good to him and I think he is genuine when he says he will make us respected in the world again.

Dr. Carson is soft spoken, smart man but I have not heard from him any strategy for dealing with the issues we have at hand.

Chris Christie shoots from the hip but I don’t like the idea that he will further screw with Social Security.  What I picked up from him today is that the age might be raised again and there might be some sort of means test, meaning; if you planned for retirement or are making some ambiguous amount of money decided by some committee, that you might not qualify to get “your money from social security, back!”

Make no mistake, the money that you paid into the system is yours.  When I got into the work force it was 65.  Reagan changed it so now the baby boomers get it much later.

The argument is that people are living much longer today but…here is the gotcha…!  Once you reach middle age, companies don’t want you anymore!  Why do you think that so many middle ages professionals that are working at a hardware store or other retail part time job?  They don’t want to, that is all they can get.  Something part time without benefits that makes their retirement income last a little longer.

They should be enjoying their golden years but they had to live off of what they saved for retirement because they were let go before they reached retirement.

The deal was 65, and it should be changed back to 65!  We need the jobs to come back to the US.

We need people to be able to work until retirement instead of being subjugated to part time retail jobs meant for kids in high school.  By the way Wall-Mart got rid of their door greeters, which was my retirement strategy…..  I love people, what can I say….

Carly, how would you deal with the massive amounts of debt?  I would like to see a detailed plan of how you intend to turn this train wreck around before the US goes the way of Greece!

I fail to see why politicians, and even our all-knowing media has not put the problem together for the American people.  The media tends to take this as separate issues and it is really all of the same issue.

Companies flood the high tech workforce with H1-B workers and even get some from student Visas thus, bringing the supply and demand down to a manageable level where companies can afford to pay lower wages for high tech employees. 

Illegals or undocumented workers flood the work force. They say that they only take jobs that Americans would not take but, that is why there are 47 million on food stamps.  That is why black unemployment is much higher than white unemployment.  Simple economics and no one gets it.

With Obama Care, companies responded by only hiring part time thus doing away with having to pay for Obama care or some other kind of government imposed health care or government fines.  That drove the unemployment numbers down because companies needed twice as many part time folks to get the job done. They are trying to mask the problem by pushing the minimum wage up to make the difference but, that will only raise the cost of goods and services as well as drive the small business owner out of business.

So candidates, how would you fix this mess without running this ship into an iceberg?

Some of you have said that we must once again raise the age group for the folks who draw Social Security and even means test it.  To those of you who don’t follow political speak; that means that if you are anywhere above poverty in your old age, let’s say you planned ahead unlike our government. Well, you don’t qualify for the money that you paid into the system all of those years!

Mr. Huckabee is right on this.  That is theft!

Don’t you think it terribly narcissistic that you think that you are good enough to “be the president” of this country?  If not than tell me why.  Why do you think that you are uniquely qualified to run this country and be a world leader?

  • How do you get the border secure as we have not managed to do it in at least 30 years!
  • How do you get the Mexican Government to work with us on securing the border and stop the flow of people from their country into the US?
  • Currently the US has made an industry out of Incarceration?  What do you do to turn that around?

Media, why….why are you so terribly biased.  Who is pulling your strings? What happened to journalistic integrity where you simply and objectively report the news, instead of creating a narrative?  Is getting the first question or interview from the president worth your integrity?  I understand ratings but clearly you can see that if ratings are your reason, FOX has you beat hands down!

These are just a scant few questions that I would like to see asked of the presidential want to bees, as well as the media.

First Look

We saw them, for the most part out of their element and some in their place.  The candidates that were in their element did not interest me as much the people who were not.

The first group to succumb to the debate process clearly showed why they were at the “kids table” or not ready for prime time, with the exception of Carly Fiorina.   If the DNC still feels compelled to run Hillary as their pick, Carly would be a formidable candidate for the GOP.

From the adults table which admittedly Carly should have been at, there were a few front runners and some that fell flat.

  • Chris Christie made an ok showing and I expect his numbers will get a bump from the debate.  His answers were fairly clear and his rhetoric was loud as expected.  His response to  Rand Paul regarding the “hug” was on point and clearly hit a cord with people who took offence with MR Paul’s  attack.

  • Marco Rubio did not hurt himself and I think his numbers too will get a bump.   I think that he appeals to the Millennials and the libertarians and could be a draw from the Democratic voters as he is not a “stogy old white guy.”

  • Ben Carson while soft spoken was one of the adults that was in the room last night.  Clearly an educated man, a thinker and strategist also showed a sense of humor that I think will bode well with voters of all walks of life.  Dr. Carson is not a politician and I think needs to watch carefully what balls that he decides to swing at as he has already swung at too many which were in the dirt.  His performance during the debate was good and he was clearly not a target of the moderators. If he progresses he will be, and the next moderators will not be near as friendly.

  • Scott Walker made some good points but clearly not a front runner in the campaign.  I do not expect his numbers to move much.  His record is impressive and he is a scrapper.  Some of what he said will resonate with the working class “the middle class” I think he will have to amp it up a little if he wants to stay the course.

  • Donald Trump.  Donald is an unknown in the political arena and is carrying his numbers because of his celebrity status.  People are genuinely sick of politicians in general, so his message resonates with the masses. His tone with Megyn Kelly was stupid, and showed his arrogance which as a politician, you cannot do.  Megyn Kelly and indeed Fox news is on the side of the republicans and to alienate them is a mistake.  Further; his remarks about women in general did not go over well, and the DNC will use that to their advantage should he become the candidate.  Mr. Trump; if he is serious should hire one of the best PR firms in the country to do damage control.  He should also hire someone that knows something about politicians and how to make Donald more of a statesmen, while maintaining his moxie, which resonates with the folks.  I think he could do well and indeed become the next president.  Last night should serve as a wake-up call for Mr. Trump. He is out of his sandbox and needs to adapt.  The DNC has enough material on him now that it will be tough to overcome even to the likes of Hillary.  The War on women will resonate with enough women voters to throw the election to Hillary, if Donald is not careful.

  • Jeb Bush.  When people look at Jeb they see George W.  There simply is no way around it.  Jeb can either work with his last name as an advantage and stop trying to disassociate himself from it, or he should stop wasting his money and time.  Jeb is a Bush and he needs to deal with it.  Whoever is advising him currently needs to re-think their strategy. Common Core is a mistake and he needs to get away from it.  The federal government should step back from this issue entirely and leave it to the states.  Focus on keeping Americans Safe, the economy and jobs.  “Immigration” which was the “elephant” in the room; needs to be dealt with in a manner that does not screw over the people who have come here legally or Americans.  There is no amnesty.  We are a country of laws, and without that we are nothing.

  • Huckabee’s numbers should improve after the debate.  His answers were clear and concise and should resonate with many.  “The purpose of the military is to kill and to break things!”  While that is a great sound bite one could take away from his comment that all we need is a bunch of two year old’s.I am not certain if the military will receive that comment well or not, they are clearly more than that.

  • Ted Cruz was probably the winner of the debate but, I cannot help but think that he is too slick and is looking forward to being the “most powerful man in the world” and that bothers me.  What motivates anyone to want to take this job should be center of the conversation. Narcissism is certainly not out of the realm of possibility and we already have a president who claims that title.

  • Rand Paul’s numbers I suspect will not move one way or the other by much after his showing at this debate.  I suspect if they do move they will put him at the kids table and elevate Carly and or Perry. He came off as angry and bitter and somewhat whiney.

  • John Kasich was hardly memorable in his performance last night.  He came off as likeable but like Bush, I have to look at notes to remember what he said.  My opinion of him is that he is too established as a politician and will be four more years of status quo.

Trump resonates because Americans are really sick of what we have in DC.  Back door deals for 20% of our Uranium to Russia is one such example that if it were put to a vote would be a resounding hell no; except for the percentage of delusionary voters out there who think Obama is the Messiah, and Hillary the next Noah.

Politicians have at their disposal, not only technology, but incredible databases “provided by Facebook and Google and others” to allow the targeting of advertisements to certain groups, for maximum effectiveness in order to manipulate the voters.   They are also amassing millions of dollars to spend on their campaigns.

Viewership of this debate was high because of Mr. Trump.  That inclusiveness of more viewers will make those methods of manipulation more difficult, as lots of democrats got a look at the candidates without the lens of MSNBC putting their very biased slant on it.   Thinking people may actually begin to question the talking heads of the progressive agenda by seeing things without slant.  These same folks also saw that FOX news did not play favorites as they are accused of by MSNBC and other outlets.  Indeed they asked the tough questions which Donald Trump and others should have expected and been prepped for.  Donald in his obvious hubris, was not prepared.  I doubt that he will make that mistake again.  To Donald’s credit, his answers were honest and truthful and for that I suspect many Americans will respect that he is who he is, and what you see is what you get.  If he were elected, I have no doubt that our foreign affairs would be different and that Putin would not be as aggressive as he currently is.

Trump needs to reign in whoever is doing his twitter, and other social media.

While she was not easy on him during this debate, she is certainly not a Bimbo.  If Trump stays the course he will face a lot tougher moderators from the liberal media and he should have been prepared for this. Anything that you have ever done is fair game in a presidential debate.  Hiring someone to prep him for such things would be a very wise investment!  If he already has such a person, the meeting with them today should include the words “your fired!”
