250,000 Girls…You’ve got to be joking?!

I am not going to lie, these reports from the UK disturbed me to my core. How did this happen? What are we going to do about it now? Yes, I have given it some thought instead of sleeping. You might wish to share this…Our officials in this country need to respond.

Protecting Young Minds: Screen Time, Mental Health, and the Case for Comprehensive Education

Introduction

The digital age has brought unprecedented access to information, connection, and, unfortunately, content that poses serious risks to developing minds. From violent pornography to influencer misinformation, children today face threats that previous generations never encountered at such scale. These are not abstract concerns. They are urgent public health issues demanding thoughtful, evidence-based responses. This post examines the interconnected problems of harmful screen time, online exploitation, and mental health deterioration among young people, while proposing education-centered solutions that respect constitutional freedoms and empower the next generation.

The Scope of the Problem: Sexual Violence and Online Exploitation

Recent revelations from the United Kingdom have exposed a horrific reality: more than 250,000 vulnerable girls were groomed and gang-raped over the course of a decade or longer, while authorities, including police and social workers, failed to intervene despite having knowledge of the abuse . A whistleblower finally brought these atrocities to light, and the accounts are deeply disturbing. The United States is not immune to sexual violence. According to recent statistics, 127,527 rape cases were reported in 2024, at a rate of 37.5 per 100,000 inhabitants . The FBI reported an estimated 139,815 rapes in 2019, a figure 2.7 percent lower than 2018 but 10.8 percent higher than the 2015 estimate . One analysis indicates that reported rape cases have risen over the last decade at an annual rate of approximately 2.9 percent .Research suggests that pornography, especially violent content, plays a role in shaping attitudes and behaviors that contribute to sexual violence. However, it is likely one factor among many, including childhood experiences, peer influences, mental health, and substance use .

Why Age Matters: The Developing Brain

The prefrontal cortex, responsible for judgment, impulse control, and understanding consequences, is the last brain region to fully develop . This biological reality carries significant implications:

  • Children and teens are more susceptible to normalizing what they see.
  • They lack the cognitive tools to contextualize violent or degrading sexual acts.
  • Neural pathways formed during exposure can have lasting effects on attitudes and behaviors.

Effects on Children Ages Five and Up

The research on early childhood exposure to pornography is particularly alarming .Immediate Emotional Responses: Children report feelings of disgust, shock, embarrassment, anger, fear, and sadness after viewing pornography. Exposure at young ages often results in anxiety, and these children can suffer all the symptoms of anxiety and depression .Behavioral Consequences: Children may become obsessed with acting out adult sexual acts they have witnessed, which can be highly disruptive . One comparative analysis found that youth who committed sexual offenses had earlier exposure (between ages five and eight) to pornographic material compared to other delinquent youth. Notably, youth who offended against other children were exposed to this material most frequently .Long-Term Developmental Harm: Exposure to pornography at a young age may lead to poor mental health, sexism, objectification, sexual violence, and other negative outcomes. When children view pornography portraying abusive and misogynistic acts, they may come to view such behavior as normal and acceptable .

General Mental Health Effects of Screen Time

Research demonstrates that excessive screen time carries significant mental health implications. A U.S. study found that teens who spent more than three hours per day on social media faced almost double the risk for mental health challenges, particularly symptoms of depression and anxiety . Regular social media use has been linked to feelings of anxiety, depression, and lower self-esteem in vulnerable youth .For children and adolescents specifically, over-digitalization can trigger a chain of negative physiological effects, including dysregulation of neural circuitry related to serotonin and dopamine, key neurotransmitters involved in mood regulation .

The Influencer Effect and Misinformation

Constant exposure to idealized versions of influencers can take a powerful toll on self-esteem and create unrealistic expectations that no one can achieve . What proves particularly troubling is how we process influencer content: even highly informed, alert individuals who know factually that they are not seeing every aspect of an influencer’s life do not process that information emotionally in the same way . When influencers present opinions as facts, especially incorrect ones, this creates a compounded problem :

  • Emotional processing overrides critical thinking: Viewers tend to absorb information emotionally rather than analytically.
  • Trust dynamics: Followers often develop parasocial relationships with influencers, making them more susceptible to accepting claims without verification.
  • Self-esteem damage: When incorrect advice about health, success, or relationships does not work, individuals may blame themselves rather than questioning the source.

Congressional Approaches That Respect Rights

Congress faces the challenge of balancing efforts to combat harmful misinformation while respecting First Amendment protections . Several constitutionally sound approaches have been proposed or could be expanded.Promoting Media Literacy Education: The Educating Against Misinformation and Disinformation Act (H.R. 6971) provides a strong model. This legislation directs the Department of Education to study and promote media literacy, including methods to identify misinformation, evaluate context for information from different sources, detect manipulation of images or information on digital platforms, and understand how influencers target and manipulate audiences . The bill also authorizes competitive grants to nonprofits and institutions of higher education to develop educational materials and public awareness campaigns . Funding Research and Developing National Strategy: Congress could mandate a national strategy for information and media literacy along with required reports containing recommendations for legislative or administrative action . This approach keeps the focus on empowering citizens rather than restricting speech.Transparency Requirements: Legislation like the Honest Ads Act focuses on transparency in political advertising online, a model that could extend to requiring clearer disclosure when influencers are paid or incentivized .The education-first approach appears to be the most rights-respecting path forward, empowering people to think critically rather than deciding what they can or cannot see .

The Case for Tailored Mental Health Education in Schools

The evidence is clear: schools are uniquely positioned to serve as primary settings for mental health promotion for students in grades K through 12 . With the near-universal exposure of young people to harmful online content, social media pressures, and real-world threats, a comprehensive and tailored approach to mental health education is no longer optional; it is a public health imperative .

Why Tailored Education Matters

A one-size-fits-all approach fails children. Schools in different environments face distinct challenges: urban schools may need to address gang violence or drug abuse, while rural schools might focus on social isolation or limited access to mental health services . Similarly, age and developmental stage must determine what content is appropriate and how it is delivered.Young people themselves have indicated they believe educational institutions should provide information and raise awareness of mental health issues . This is their expressed need, and we should listen.Curricula must include medically accurate and developmentally appropriate information that addresses different health experiences and behaviors for youth of all ages and abilities . A tiered approach might include:

  • Ages 5 to 10: Foundational concepts about emotions, personal boundaries, trusted adults, and recognizing uncomfortable situations
  • Ages 11 to 14: Expanded education on online safety, manipulation tactics, healthy versus unhealthy relationships, and early warning signs of exploitation
  • Ages 15 to 18 and beyond: Comprehensive discussions including real-world case studies, digital literacy, consent, and understanding how predators operate

Should Education Include Difficult Real-World Examples?

The question of whether to include difficult real-world examples, such as the organized grooming gangs documented in the United Kingdom, deserves careful consideration. The argument for inclusion (delivered in age-appropriate ways): These are not abstract threats. The UK grooming gang scandals, spanning cities like Rotherham, Rochdale, Telford, and others, involved the systematic exploitation of hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children over decades . Similar patterns exist globally. Children deserve to understand that such threats are real, not hypothetical. Knowledge is protection. Many victims of grooming gangs have described not recognizing the signs of manipulation because no one had taught them what exploitation looks like . Education that includes real patterns of predatory behavior, such as being “befriended,” given gifts, isolated from family, or introduced to substances, can help children identify danger before it escalates.Such education also combats normalization. As discussed, exposure to violent pornography leads some children to view abusive behavior as normal . Counter-education using real cases demonstrates that such behavior is criminal, harmful, and absolutely unacceptable, regardless of how it may be portrayed online.

Responsible implementation requires:

  • Age-appropriate framing: Younger children do not need graphic details; they need to understand boundaries, trusted adults, and that some people try to trick children. Older students can handle more specific case studies.
  • Trained educators: Teachers should receive professional development workshops led by mental health professionals to recognize early signs of issues and deliver sensitive content appropriately .
  • Support systems in place: Any education on difficult topics must be paired with access to counseling and reporting mechanisms. School-based mental health support needs to be fully funded .
  • Empowerment, not fear: The goal is to build resilience and recognition skills, not to traumatize. Framing should emphasize that adults failed to protect these children and that systems are being improved to prevent future harm .

Integrating Mental Health with Safety Education

Effective programs combine classroom-level and student-level interventions to sustain educational, health, and mental health improvements . This means incorporating anti-bullying programs and socioemotional learning as core components, teaching children to communicate about mental health with trusted adults, addressing the impact of social media and digital platforms on mental health, and creating mental health champions within schools. The connection between online exploitation, pornography exposure, mental health deterioration, and real-world sexual violence must be taught as an interconnected reality, not as isolated topics .

Conclusion

Protecting children in the digital age requires acknowledging uncomfortable truths about the threats they face and responding with comprehensive, evidence-based education. By investing in media literacy, tailored mental health curricula, and trauma-informed teaching practices, we can empower young people to recognize danger, build resilience, and develop the critical thinking skills necessary to navigate an increasingly complex world. Our children are our greatest treasure. It is time our policies and educational systems reflected that truth.

I realize that this is not my normal material on this site. I usually showcase my writing via some short story or perhaps offer writing or publishing advice. This news brought tears, anger, and disgust. The prime minister resigned, and so should that worthless mayor, he knew. Anyone that looked the other way should face consequences. More Stupid Shit

More Stupid Shit

and media manipulation

Vance Boelter, a man clearly not invited to the “Let’s Make Good Life Choices” seminar, decided one day to spice things up by dressing as a cop, strolling up to a Minnesota lawmaker’s house, and committing straight-up cold-blooded murder. Bold move, Vance. Bold, stupid-as-hell move.

Now, as gruesome and shocking as that is, what really takes the cake here is the way Alexa—yes, Amazon’s Alexa—decided to break the news. Imagine walking into your kitchen, coffee in hand, ready to fight the soul-sucking Monday ahead, when your helpful little robot assistant pops up with:

“A murder occurred at the home of a Democratic Lawmaker. The perpetrator shot the husband and wife in cold blood.”

To be honest, the newsflash should have left out the word Democrat… Whoever writes this shit knows what they are doing and trust me, its deliberate.

Well, damn, Alexa. Way to brighten my day. That’s one hell of a headline to pair with my toast and jam. But you know what they didn’t mention? What they just conveniently left out? That Vance was… wait for it… a Democrat appointee, courtesy of Governor Tim Walz himself. Yeah, let that marinate. Tens of thousands of people see that vague little nugget of information and immediately start imagining some MAGA-hat-wearing lunatic foaming at the mouth. Because that’s what we do now: jump to conclusions faster than a squirrel on espresso.

Public Opinion: A Circus of Stupidity

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how public opinion is formed. Not with facts or nuance or even a shred of common sense. Nope. Just a headline and a whole lot of assumptions. And let’s be real here—critical thinking is about as popular these days as a Nickelback reunion tour. Nobody questions anything, nobody digs deeper. The media throws you a bone, and we all run with it like we’re championship greyhounds.

But wait! There’s more! Because, of course, there’s always more stupid shit to pile on top of the already steaming heap. Enter Alex Padilla, the guy who apparently thought it was a good idea to crash Kristi Noem’s press conference (because why not, right?). This same dude is now trying to tie these murders to Trump’s campaign. Yes, you read that right. The murders. Trump. Connected. Somehow. It’s like a bad game of Mad Libs where every blank gets filled with “Trump” because nobody knows what else to say anymore.

Why Are We Like This?

And here’s the million-dollar question: Why are tensions rising? Why is everybody so angry all the damn time? Well, buckle up, because here’s the answer—it’s stupid shit like this. The media stirs the pot with half-truths, people gobble it up without question, and before you know it, everyone’s picking sides and throwing punches. It’s human nature, sure, but it’s also human stupidity in its purest form.

So, there you have it. Murder, media, and a masterclass in how to divide a population. If this isn’t the poster child for my upcoming book, Stupid Shit, I don’t know what is. Oh, and if you’re still here, sign up for emails so you can snag the book on KDP when it drops because nothing cures the existential dread of living in a divided society like laughing at the sheer absurdity of it all.

Learn to ask questions and stop assuming shit.

Trump Derangement Syndrome

Trump Derangement Syndrome

The news of another attempted assassination attempt on Trump made me nauseous.

The Keyword NEWS is the problem.

The excessive use of hyperbole, propaganda, NLP, and rhetoric to generate clicks and advertising revenue has become overwhelming. This nut job in Florida is just one more brainwashed lunatic that doesn’t understand the media has to sell airtime to advertisers and ratings are part of the formula that allows them to charge so much a second for you to learn about self-storage or the latest drug to combat your poor choices of foods.

Even today, after the attempt, Dana Bash is out there calling JD Vance a racist.

Do they not see, or do they not care?

Money is driving the agenda. What kinds of stories garner the public’s attention and make people click or tune in?

Way back when 30 seconds of airtime during the Super Bowl was a million dollars, that was probably a bargain by today’s standards. Imagine that: 30 seconds of airtime for a product during the Super Bowl was a million dollars and change.

If you remember the talking frogs advertising Bud Wis Er, well that was one of our commercials that my employer at the time created. Those commercials cost big money and were aired several times during the game.

To sell airtime, you needed something that drew lots of attention.

The Super Bowl is only once a year. How do we get higher ratings for the rest of the year? Well, we create a product that drives emotions. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a product. The stronger the emotional impact, the more people will tune in.

Hyperbole incites an emotional reaction.

  • If Trump gets in, the world is going to hell, our democracy is gone, and you will be living on the streets with the migrants.
  • If Harris gets in, the world is going to hell, our democracy is gone, and you will be living on the streets with the migrants.
  • The Sky is falling, how to survive a nuclear war, Climate Change will kill us all.

Emotional response not only invites people to tune in, but it incites the unstable into action.

Not a single word of what was mentioned holds any truth.

The simple fact is we have no idea who is controlling the country right now. It isn’t Biden and certainly not the cackling VP. Who is it? Who is setting policy? Who is keeping the country safe? Are your cats being eaten?

The media is not your friend. They are not telling the truth about anything.

If you could talk to Putin, you would learn a whole different set of facts about why he is doing what he is doing. RFK shined some light on it during his speech. Why is our CIA sponsering regime change when these folks have enough nukes to destroy the world 100 times over? What is the ultimate goal?

Are they really trying to reduce the world’s population by 33%?

Do they really think they can create a one-world government when you have so many diverse opinions, religions, ideologies, government structures, and so on?

What about the oligarchs that are pulling the strings? Sooner or later, one of them will claim God’s status, and then what happens?

If you could speak with the Ukrainians who are not pulling the strings, you would learn a new set of facts.

Someone is getting a hell of a lot of our tax dollars, and lots of human lives are being extinguished to feed the greed of a few.

We are puppets being taken to the cleaners by those who control the narrative. Do we really think the woman who slept her way into politics is the answer?

As far as the debate the other night, that was not a debate; it was an ambush.

Harris had been working with Hollywood’s best method acting coach to learn to put on a show. Knowing Trump and his temper, they ambushed him. All three wanted to get under his skin by attacking what he was proud of. Using opinion to fact-check him live, I noticed they didn’t fact-check Harris once.

  • Everything he says is a lie.
  • People leave your rallies because they are bored.
  • World leaders think you are a joke.
  • The economy was your fault, not ours.
  • We fixed immigration. It was you who destroyed it.

There is so much more I could say. The moderators agreed with these falsehoods. I am not sure I could have stood there and dealt with that abuse. If it were me, I would have flipped them all off and left. When he said it was a waste of time, it was, his.

While I don’t wish this lunatic who waited for a chance to kill Trump any peace whatsoever, I am glad he is alive so they can dissect what set him off. I am sure the MSM will play a massive role in the lies told that he accepted as the gospel. I am sure in his mind, he felt like he was doing the work of God Almighty saving Democracy.

One quick thought: name another president who left office poorer than when they went in. Name one other president who didn’t accept a salary.

We are not casting our votes for an individual; instead, we are casting our votes for a set of principles and policies. Trump’s were and are solid and much better than those of the current administration and the last 3.5 years.

We need to toss the assholes out and start fresh only voting for those who will enact term limits in Congress.

Thoughts?

Are We Just Livestock in a Tax Farm?

Are We Just Livestock in a Tax Farm?

I saw a meme on social media. If I posted this, it might get taken down or have its ranking changed, resulting in fewer views. Why?

They don’t want you to think critically. Just nod and agree with the propaganda and vote as instructed.

I don’t believe in that.

In a world where we pour substantial financial resources into the education of our children, it’s hard not to question the ultimate goal of this investment. Are we truly cultivating a generation of thinkers, innovators, and productive taxpayers, or are we merely raising livestock on a tax farm operated by the government?

The current educational landscape is riddled with contradictions. We’ve adopted a system that teaches to the standardized test, a method designed to fit every child into a neat little box. Yet, the reality is that there is no such thing as a standard child. Each student comes with unique strengths, weaknesses, and perspectives that standardized testing fails to acknowledge. This one-size-fits-all approach not only stifles creativity and individuality but also fosters a culture of conformity that is detrimental to genuine learning.

Among the many skills that our educational system neglects, critical thinking stands out as a glaring omission. In an age where it’s all too easy to share a meme that highlights an issue we’re passionate about, we often fall short when it comes to proposing real solutions. Critical thinking encourages us to analyze, evaluate, and create—skills that are essential for navigating the complexities of modern society. Instead, we find ourselves trapped in a cycle of reactionary thought, where the loudest voices drown out the nuanced discussions we desperately need.

As we look to the future, it’s crucial to recognize that the path we’re on may lead us toward socialism, cloaked in the guise of progressivism. We’re being sold a bill of goods labeled as “the answer,” but what we often receive is a repackaging of failed doctrines that primarily benefit the elites. This system perpetuates the belief that a paycheck is a reward when, in reality, it’s merely a tool for survival in a landscape designed to keep the majority compliant.

We must ask ourselves: Are we content to remain mere livestock grazing in the fields of mediocrity, or will we demand an educational system that nurtures critical thinkers, problem solvers, and independent minds? It’s time to reevaluate our priorities and challenge the status quo. Let’s invest not just in education but in cultivating a society that values creativity, innovation, and the power of independent thought. Only then can we hope to create a future that doesn’t merely churn out taxpayers but empowered individuals ready to take on the world.

The media is owned by the elite, who are also the ranchers that keep the herd inside the fences or put them out for slaughter.

Before you vote, look at the candidates’ policies versus their rhetoric. The rhetoric, videos, and pictures can and usually are deep fakes created by AI. The policies are hard to fake.

I genuinely want my novels to remain fiction, and I don’t want them to become historical documents.

A Tribute to Miss Thunberg. Apprehended in the pursuit of different windmills.

A Tribute to Miss Thunberg. Apprehended in the pursuit of different windmills.

In search of monsters…

In an age where the winds of change blew with an unwavering fervor,

A young and determined damsel lived, her spirit as unyielding as steel.

With locks shining like the sun’s golden rays and eyes as deep and endless as the sea.

Setting sail upon the azure waves, she felt the salty mist on her face, her spirit ignited with a courageous mission.

“Forsooth!” she cried, her voice echoing through the air with a clarity that couldn’t be ignored.

“I long for the passion of protest, where voices crescendo, and hearts ignite with purpose.

At the point where the ocean meets the sky, the seagulls soar freely.

I shall find my brethren in arms, their resolute voices echoing in the air.”

Her sturdy galleon gracefully glided across the sparkling brine.

As she searched for the clarion call, her ears strained to catch even the faintest whisper of the divine.

Through raging storms and tranquil seas, she sailed tirelessly day and night.

In relentless pursuit of a cause most just, they were determined to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

And behold! Where the sea and future intertwine on the horizon, a gentle breeze carried the scent of salt and adventure.

Her eyes caught sight of a defiant throng, united in their unwavering resolve.

With banners held high and stanch spirits, they defiantly stood their ground against the relentless tide.

And with open arms, they warmly embraced her, inviting her to stand by their side.

Once a sailor of the vast ocean, the young lady now found herself amidst the honking horns and busy streets.

She found her protest, her voice, her unwavering pride, echoing through the crowd.

The fellowship of the brave filled her heart with joy, as she eagerly embraced the adventure ahead.

In the chorus of the just, her voice resonated with strength and conviction.

Even if she blindly hitched her ride to fiction.

Like the fading glow of twilight, the luster of renown slowly diminished.

Our intrepid lady found herself amidst a breathtaking new landscape, stretching as far as the eye could see.

The air was filled with the passionate cries of a fervent throng of souls.

They chanted rebellion enthusiastically, their voices echoing with passion for any cause, regardless of what it was.

“Here, here!” they shouted, their voices filled with an electrifying energy that could light up the skies.

“Let your voice resonate, fair maiden, as your spirited echoes reverberate!”

Filled with fiery passion and unbridled energy, she fearlessly pursued her dreams.

She joined the chorus of dissent, passionately advocating for her own cause.

For it didn’t matter the flag they carried or the beliefs they upheld,

The unity of voices echoed through the air, carrying with it a sense of purpose and determination.

Amidst the camaraderie of the crowd, her voice gained momentum and commanded attention.

A piercing cry for justice reverberated across the globe, as the world faced its most dire hour.

Her cries echoed, carrying the weight of the news of a world in chaos. The sky, once a solid canopy, now shattered and raining down fragments of blue. The earth, once a gentle orb, now stretched out before her as a vast, flat expanse where the edges seemed to meet the abyss.

In the shadow of the devil’s decree, a cause most foul and dire, the air grew heavy with a sense of impending doom.

Our maiden found herself surrounded by a raging inferno, the crackling flames dancing dangerously close.

To the world, she was the crier of wolves, whose haunting howls echoed through the night.

Nevertheless, there was a part of her that craved to be acknowledged from a fresh perspective.

Instead of tilting at windmills our maiden wanted more of them. The world’s capacity for CO2 had reached its limit, not even the emissions of a single cow could be tolerated. They had to be eliminated, or else humanity faced certain doom.

Our maiden, devoid of any scientific or mathematical knowledge, continued on her path with fervent outbursts, as if she had been bestowed a divine mission by the Goddess of the cosmos. Or so she believed.

With every cry she raised, the haunting howl of a wolf echoed closer.

As the moonlight illuminated its bared fangs, its intentions became unmistakably clear.

Fearless and determined, the maiden ignored the facts and embraced the lie..

“Behold!” she proclaimed, as the beast loomed to devour,

“I am more than just a crier, I possess a greater power.

To stand and face the darkness, to challenge the night’s devour,

I am the maiden of the hour, in this, my final bower.”

And so the tale is woven, of a maiden so brave and true,

Who cried wolf not in jest, but as a call to arms anew.

In the pages of Cervantes, her story finds its due,

A lesson of analphabetism, for me, and for you.

In the tapestry of time, where stories and images intertwine,

The maiden’s visage joins the gallery of those who once did shine.

Captured in a moment, her image eternally cast,

With those who wore disgrace as a badge, their ignorance is vast.

Pride they took in folly, a mantle they bore with ease,

Unaware that history’s pages would judge as they please.

Yet, in the relentless march of days, memories fade to dust,

And the foolishness of yesteryears is lost in time’s robust.

For when the next tirade ascends, with its clamorous sound,

The past’s disgraced figures are but shadows on the ground.

Their tales, once written with the ink of infamy and scorn,

Are eclipsed by the present’s uproar, as new sagas are born.

So let the maiden’s story be a whisper in the gale,

A lesson that in the end, even the loudest voices pale.

And though her image lingers, with others in disgrace,

‘Tis the future’s cry that echoes, in this ever-changing space.

In days of yore, when the quill was mightier than the sword,

And parchment bore the weight of words untold,

The scribes, with hands both steady and assured,

Wrote tales of the past, both brazen and bold.

“There is a reason,” they’d whisper, their voices low,

“For which we inscribe these chronicles of yesteryear.

To remember and reflect, to learn and to know,

The deeds of the past, both far and near.”

For in the annals of history, truth finds its stage,

And lessons of old are passed from age to age.

The triumphs and trials, the joy and the sorrow,

Are captured in ink, for today and tomorrow.

So let us thank the scribes, those keepers of time,

For their tales of the past, in prose and in rhyme.

For through their words, we travel to days long gone,

And the wisdom of the ages is forever drawn.

I love Miguel de Cervantes. This blog is me paying homage to him and serves as a warning to those who might follow in the path of this arrogant young fool. The pen is mightier than the sword, and scribes such as yours truly will make sure your mark in history is indelible.

Society could experience substantial enhancements if individuals directed their efforts toward studying history rather than expending energy on imagined adversaries. It would be beneficial for parents to ensure that they read Henny Penny to their children multiple times during their bedtime routine.

Driving Public Opinion

The media are so corrupt it makes me sick. Today, there is a story about a man ‘who owns a Chick-fil-A’ who drove hundreds of miles to meet some underage girl he met online.

Think about this. We hear it all the time, a white police officer shoots a black guy.

This is NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming, using emotional triggers for either clicks or something more nefarious, like driving public opinion.

In the first story, the author has a bone to pick with Christians, so he mentions the guy owns a Chick-fil-A, which has nothing to do with the fact that he drove hundreds of miles to hook up with an underage person he met online. What he owns has nothing to do with the story other than to create an emotional trigger and to associate terrible behavior with Christians. That, by the way, is evil at work. Why is this reporter attempting to dehumanize Christians?

In the second example, the cop shot a guy who was shooting at him. Do we read that in the story? Maybe several paragraphs down buried several pages in the newspaper where they hide the rest of the story. At first, it’s about creating a false flag that all white cops hunt down black people and shoot them. The purpose is to stir up racial tension, so when you go to the polls and whatever politician the media is flaking for says the number one problem in this country is white supremacy. You remember this story, and you pull the trigger for the guy lying to you.

If someone tweaks your emotions, they are manipulating you. Any time you are pissed at some story, dig a little deeper. Investigate the source, including the reporter. More often than not, it is a ‘journalist’ who has a bone to pick.

Words are powerful, and this person is not a journalist, as journalists are objective…period.

HB 196

HB 196

Open letter to Terry Meza

Dear Terry, your bill HB 196 would seek to limit the homeowner’s rights to defend himself or his or her property. Your bill would also create a doubt in the would-be victim’s mind as to whether they are within their legal rights to defend themselves. A second of hesitation could get the victim killed.  You are confusing the issue, conflating garden gnome’s with tangible property and or life.

In a life-or-death situation, the last thing the victim needs is doubt.  If they are reasonably afraid for their lives, they should defend themselves to the fullest extent of the law…period.

Not long ago, this same type of thinking was pervasive in our now President Biden, who said at the time, ‘If a woman is going to get raped, she should pee herself.’

Your bill would make it easier for some attorney to go after the victim, and you and I both know this is not about ‘lawn ornaments.’ That is lawyer-speak to play to the emotions of the feeble-minded.

We all have choices to make. They can choose to steal and take their chances or decide not to steal.  They can choose to rape or home invade or decide not to.  We, the law-abiding, have our rights under assault by this Congress, currently attacking the second amendment, while we on a parallel front have lunatics calling for defunding the police.

If the police act in a way that contradicts the way they should, then more training and better hiring practices are what we should be advocating.

Adding to this problem, we have a massive influx of aliens who we know by their actions don’t respect our laws.

There is currently a rash of catalytic converters stolen from vehicles. The cost to repair starts at $1000.00 and could go as high as $4,000 if they don’t do any other damage while hacking it off your car.  That is hardly a garden gnome.

Why don’t you create a bill that would fine the crap out of those that buy stolen catalytic convertors?

Removing the reward for theft of ‘garden gnomes’ seems like where we should be spending our energy.

I would require that all catalytic convertors be serialized. Those that bring them in for ‘recycle’ must provide identification, including utility bills, to prove that the identity was not fake. A log book should be created and maintained to insure that the ‘recycler’ is on the up and up. The former would take a Congressional act, and the latter could be implemented with an executive order.

Open Letter to Greg Abbot

Open Letter to Greg Abbot

With the latest power issues in Texas, one would think that we wouldn’t have these issues in a country like this.

“But it is cold.”

And, in the summer it is hot.  The last time I mentioned to the city where I live, we had not enough water, trash pickup, and now electricity to add more businesses and apartments I was told to sit down and shut up.  (in so many words)

It is all about taxable revenue.  When I mentioned that to the city, they told me, “We have more churches than other cities, and they don’t pay taxes! We have to stay competitive.”

We have lost sight of the ball.  When we can’t take care of what we have, we don’t need to add more.

Government is over-bloated and is more concerned about ways to keep their jobs and bring in more revenue than taking care of their constituents.  Many of those are elected, and trust me, that can be remedied.

One cold snap and millions are without power.  This incident was not even ice-related. It was supply and demand.

Maybe some child who knows nothing of economics or how the government works and thinks, might buy that. It is a crap argument. It is all about supply and demand.

In my line of work, we do something called a root cause analysis.

Why did it happen, and what can we do to better prepare for the next time.

We have not invested in the infrastructure or planned worth a damned for there to be power outages to the tune of millions of people because there is not enough supply.

Mr. Abbot, heads need to roll.

February and March are the cold months in Texas; the rest are hot and hotter.

We see California going through this because they have not invested in their infrastructure.  I thought we were better than the Golden State.

You owe it to the people of Texas to do this root cause analysis and then tell us how you are going to fix the problem.

Platitudes, and turn off your heat or air and don’t run anything that uses electricity is not the answer.  Controlled power outages are not the answer.

ERCOT needs to be held to account for this.

I have lived in Texas since 1962.  This cold snap is not our first, and it will not be our last.  Next Summer will not be our first days over 100.

If you want to attract more revenue in the form of a tax base, prove to the tax base that you have that you are worthy of it.

Pelosi wants a 911 commission to distract the country from its bumbling of issues.  Maybe we should have a 911 commission to see how this happened. My guess is that you all already know, and knew it was a possibility.  If that is the case, that makes you all negligent.

Media Bias

Media Bias

Today in the new, the President’s legal team wrapped up their case.  By all accounts, they should move to acquit and get back to the business of the people.

What we are not hearing about in the media is a possible pandemic.  To date, 131 people have died from the coronavirus.  What they have not reported on is the coronavirus is and has been a problem in dogs, and the Chinese eat dogs.

Viruses mutate, so it is no surprise that ingesting dogs might have something to do with how it began.

If it indeed has mutated to now be transmitted human to human, the number of 131 deaths of 1-28-2020 will be higher by 1-29-2020.  Depending upon the veracity of the disease, the amount will increase logarithmically.

Why the US is still accepting flights from China is questionable, but here is the kicker, as we are a very mobile society, the virus could quickly become a worldwide pandemic in no time.

Of course, the mainstream media is focused on calling Trump supporters Credulous Rubes.

Since CNN pays to have all airports only have CNN on its televisions, one might think that they would fulfill the role of ‘actual news’ instead of meddling in the upcoming elections.

Another story that is very important is the Chinese spy ring that we have captured in the US.  No, you didn’t hear about it because it does not fit the hate trump narrative. From a Harvard professor to students sneaking technology and biochemical research out of the country to China, should have made the news.  It didn’t.’ But we know that John Bolton is writing a book and someone alleged that he leaked something to the New York Times.

You didn’t hear that the Democratic Party is falling apart, and they don’t have a good strategy nor a qualified candidate.  You don’t know that Joe Biden should not be running nor even driving, because of his mental state, they don’t like Warren and they certainly know that the Socialist Bernie Sanders cannot beat Trump, so they are pushing Bloomberg to the top using lots of money to purchase air time to attack Trump on made-up numbers and so forth.

You didn’t hear any of that because they are too busy on their campaign to destroy Trump by death with a thousand cuts.   By attacking his ‘Credulous Rubes or the Deplorable’s, which are too stupid to know that they should not be trusted with the vote. Those with money and power hope to keep 65 million of us silent, while they go after Trump on made-up facts.

You might not have heard that once again, the yapping heads on CNN think it would be improper for Trump to give the State of the Union Address as then the American people would hear his voice.  This whole Impeachment thing has been about destroying his credibility and swaying people in the electorate who think Socialism is a good thing.

Yes, the media is the enemy of the republic and is part of the left-wing crazies who ilk, like them, has destroyed country after country, while raping their people, resources, and wealth.  In short, these people are not your friends, on your side or have your back etc.  They are out for what they can get from you while promising you the world.

There are no free lunches and no free anything in this world.  Someone paid for it.

It is time we demand Term Limits be on the ballot for all officials.

It is time we create an accountability law for the media.  If they profess to be a journalist, they must damned well act like it.

Stalin said the sharpest tool in his weaponry was the written word.  With CNN and social media, we have no idea if the trolls from other countries or the MSM is a more significant threat to our democracy.
